4 Simple Solutions to a Clutter Free Entryway

Door Sweeps/ Door Bottoms/ Door Thresholds

Is your entryway a disorganized jumble of boots, snow pants, hats, gloves, coats and other cold-weather gear? Take control of the chaos with some simple organizational tricks that create order and contain the clutter:

  • Place hooks at different levels to multiply the amount of things you can hang up. And don’t overlook unused wall space behind doors — it can be the perfect spot for hanging coats to grab as you are leaving the house.

  • Think beyond hooks to make the most of your wall space. Bins hung on the walls create smart, space-saving storage for gloves, scarves, and hats.

  • Stacking crates provide lots of storage for shoes and boots. Pro-tip: layer a throw rug under the crate to catch any melting snow and ice.

  • If you’ve got the space, add a bench so shoes and boots can be easily slipped on and off. The bench can also serve as a designated drop zone for purses, computer bags, diaper bags, and backpacks.

Once your entryway is organized, make sure the area is comfortable by checking for drafts. If cold air is leaking in under the door, install a Frost King Door Sweep, which fits along the bottom of the door to block any gaps that let drafts into your home.
