Ventilation is Key to a Healthy Home

Window Screens and Accessories

According to the CDC, one of the things you can do to decrease the spread of coronavirus is to open windows or adjust air conditioning to increase home ventilation.

To get your windows ready to welcome spring breezes, clean the screens before installing them so you’re not letting dust and debris into your home.

  1. Lay screens out outside, and use the soft brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner to remove accumulated dust.

  2. Fill a bucket with warm water and a few drops of dish soap. Using a soft brush or cloth, scrub the screens and frames.

  3. Spray with a hose (use a gentle nozzle setting) to remove all the soap and residue. Lay the screens in the sun to dry thoroughly. Before reinstalling, check for tears or rips; repair any damage with Frost King Window Screen Patches and replacement Screen Spline.

If you have windows that don’t have screens, W.B. Marvin Adjustable Window Screens adjust to fit any size window – so you can let in breezes but keep out the bugs.

If you have window air conditioners, clean or replace the filter regularly to make sure good quality air is being blown into your home. Frost King’s Air Conditioner Filters are washable and re-usable, and can be cut to any size.
