4 Ways to Spruce Up Your Outdoor Space

Garage Accessories

Take advantage of September’s cooler temperatures to get your yard into shape with these 4 weekend DIY projects.

  1. Grab a shovel and plant some spring bulbs—you’ll be glad you put in the effort when they burst into bloom after a long winter.

  2. Clean and service your lawn mower and drain the gasoline before storing it for the winter. A little bit of effort now can save on costly repairs in the spring.

  3. Paint peeling paint and trim to keep snow, ice, and rain from causing damage and wood rot to your home’s exterior.

Give your garage door some TLC. Remove grime and mildew from the door itself, and wipe dirt and debris from the garage door tracks. Check hinges, bearings, and springs to see if they need to be lubricated, and examine around the garage door seal to see if it is letting cold air into your garage. Watch our video to see how easy it is to replace failing the weatherstripping around your garage door.
